The Fundación Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno's collection of paintings includes two sketches by Francisco de Goya, preparatory works for his altar painting The Preaching of Saint Bernardine of Siena before Alfonso V of Aragon, painted for the Royal Basilica of San Francisco el Grande in Madrid. In order to make them known, the Foundation has collaborated with the Museo del Prado, thanks to which these works have been studied and restored, and in whose room 34, dedicated to Goya's religious paintings, they will be exhibited for a year. The research carried out as part of this project, which has provided an opportunity to broaden our knowledge of the artist, has been brought together in this publication by Gudrun Maurer, curator of Spanish painting at the Prado.
