In 1683 the Italian artist Giuseppe Maria Mitelli engraved a primer for learning to draw based on the alphabet entitled Alfabeto in sogno (The alphabet in a dream), consisting of a frontispiece, text and 23 characters. The letter B from the copy in The British Museum is reproduced on the cover of this hardback notebook with ribbon bookmark.
