This practical soap dish reproduces a detail of the work Phalaenas (1920), by Carlos Verger Fioretti. The artist cultivated genre painting and portraiture, although he was best known for his role as an engraver and poster artist, and was one of the last engravers dedicated to reproducing paintings. This work is deposited in the Zamora Museum.
