15th-century geometry vase
Porcelain. 6.5 x 28 cm.
Flemish painting of the 15th century paid great attention to the precise representation of objects and their qualities, including architecture. This is the case of Robert Campin in his panel of The Betrothal of the Virgin (1420-1430), whose columns evoke the richness of the marble used in antiquity, which inspired this exquisite vase handmade exclusively for the Museo del Prado.
