The richness of the vegetation in Fra Angelico's Annunciation altarpiece (ca. 1426) became evident after its restoration. A detail of the plants surrounding the scene of the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise is reproduced on this gilt-rimmed dessert plate, which, thanks to the perforations in its base, can be used as a decorative item.
