19th Century Geometry Bracelet
Exclusive design for the Prado Museum by Patrizia Corvaglia.
The art of the late 19th century represented a new type of geometry inspired by factories and industry. Some frames from that period complemented the iconography of the framed work, such as the spectacular frame that inspired the design of these bracelets: the moulding of the work Workers on Strike in Vizcaya (Vicente Cutanda y Toraya, 1892), which imitated iron plates in wood.
These pieces are unique and have been made entirely by hand using the lost wax and bronze casting process, a method that has remained unchanged over the centuries and which allows highly expressive effects to be created.
