Jaime Cuadriello (Mexico, 1956) is an art historian and researcher-professor at the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Throughout his professional career, he has collaborated with national and international museums as a curator and academic advisor. His publications include nine books and more than a hundred articles specialising in Novo-Hispanic painting, nineteenth-century art in Mexico, sacred images and the symbolic culture of the Hispanic world. Between 2019 and 2021 he was assistant curator of the exhibition Tornaviaje, held at the Museo Nacional del Prado.

The Prado Museum Chair, created in 2009, is one of the main lines of action of the Museum's Study Centre located in the Casón del Buen Retiro. Each edition of the Chair features a renowned specialist in museology or art history who develops a personal project closely related to the history and collections of the Prado Museum.
