This beautiful coffee set reproduces a detail from The Sense of Smell (1617-1618), the result of a collaboration between Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens. Decorated with the foreground of the work, in which different types of flowers and other symbolic elements are depicted with great skill, the artists create a perfect allegory of the sense that gives its name to the canvas.
