The restoration of the Annunciation altarpiece (ca. 1426) made visible the splendid gilded wings of the Archangel Gabriel painted by Fra Angelico, the detail of which is reproduced in this gilt-rimmed dessert plate which, thanks to the perforations in its base, can be used as a decorative item.
