"The Painter's Children in the Japanese Room" table clock

Aluminium. 12 x 17 x 6 cm. Battery operated.

On the surface of this beautiful clock is reproduced a detail of the work that caused fascination from the very moment of its execution: The Painter's Children in the Japanese Room (1874), which Mariano Fortuny left unfinished at his death. The fragment shows Mariano, the painter's youngest son, in which the colours applied with more material and smoothed with the spatula on the background wall and on the canvas covering the boy's legs stand out.
