Juan Muñoz draws inspiration from the illustration of an ancient mosaic, which creates the optical illusion of transforming a plain floor into an intertwining of steps that ascend or descend, for the design of floors to cover stages in his installations, giving them a dramatic quality capable of communicating vulnerability, falsehood and emptiness.

Tienda Prado has turned one of these floors, the one that accompanies the work Untitled (Balconies and Optical Floor) (1992), into patterns that are reproduced on this beautiful and elegant poker deck.
