Juan Muñoz draws inspiration from the illustration of an ancient mosaic, which creates the optical illusion of transforming a plain floor into an intertwining of steps that ascend or descend, for the design of floors to cover stages in his installations, giving them a dramatic quality capable of communicating vulnerability, falsehood and emptiness.
Tienda Prado has turned one of these floors, the one that accompanies the work Die Winterreise (1994), into patterns that are reproduced on this beautiful and elegant tray.
Made by the artisans of the workshop of the A LA PAR Foundation, skilled carpenters and painters trained at the foundation, which works for the rights and labour integration of people with intellectual disabilities.
