24 carat gold plated brass. Hand-cast and hand-finished in Spain.

This fabulous exclusive collection for the Museo del Prado by Chus Burés is inspired by the harnesses and jaeces that appear in Velázquez's equestrian portraits, where the golden harnesses intertwined in the manes and reins that festooned the power and sumptuousness of the saddle, in accordance with the majesty of the costumes of the kings and queens portrayed.

Sometimes with an impressionist technique or painted in the manner of filigree, straps and harnesses form a tradition in the apparatus portrait, where the horse translated, in posture and adornments, the magnificence of the painting and the character.

Chus Burés' jewellery designs and collaborations with artists, fashion designers, film directors and exhibitions in international museums are admired by prominent personalities of culture and art, and his collaborations with contemporary artists such as Miquel Barceló, Louise Bourgeois, Julio Le Parc or Carmen Herrera, among others, are extraordinary examples of the relationship between art and design.
