"The Sense of Taste" notebook

This compact notebook reproduces a detail of the work The Sense of Sight (1617), resulting from the collaboration of Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens and part of the series of paintings that both artists dedicated to the senses. Its cover shows the central part of the composition with a table full of delicacies attended by a maiden and a satyr, a perfect allegory of the sense it represents.
