This compact notebook reproduces a detail of the work The Sense of Sight (1617), resulting from the collaboration of Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens, and part of the series of paintings that both artists dedicated to the senses. The cover shows the central part of the work where two figures are surrounded by splendid architecture and exuberant nature of the 17th century, a tribute to the sense it represents.
