This mousepad reproduced a detail of the work The Virgin and Child in a Painting surrounded by Fruit and Flowers (1617-1620), a collaboration between Rubens, who made the figures, and Jan Brueghel the Elder, who painted the garland. This is a suggestive reflection on the equivalence between the real image and the painted image, since what is surrounded by the garland is a hanging painting, not a living scene.
