"Hardstone" trench coat

This beauiful trench coat is made from a lightweight, waterproof fabric, which makes it easy to fold and store in the accompanying fabric pouch, making it an ideal travel companion. It is inspired by the motifs that make up the Writing desk of Nuncio Máximo (1749-1763), which is among the Museo del Prado's select collection of console tables with hardstone panels. Carved in the most exceptional hard stones from Florentine manufactories, it manifests the changing tastes of the modern period, which favoured naturalistic decoration with floral elements such as those reproduced in this original and beautiful cotton kimono.
