Brocades collection artisan chocolate soap

Handmade in Spain for the Museo del Prado.

100 gr. 8.5 x 6.5 cm

Artisan soaps crafted by the Benedictine nuns of the Santa Cruz Monastery in Sahagún (León), using vegetable glycerin as the base. To the cleansing and moisturizing power of glycerin, the properties of chocolate have been added. Glycerin soap production began in the 19th century, replacing the traditional olive oil and ash-based soap that was produced in Spain until that time.
