"The Dauphin's Treasure" liquor decanter
Handcrafted in the Real Fábrica de Cristales de La Granja.
The 16th-century Platter with the story of Hermaphroditus and cameos of the Twelve Caesars is one of the masterpieces of the Dauphin's Treasure, a set of precious vases that is unique in the world for its richness and variety. This liquor decanter, mouth-blown in a fixed mould and hand-carved by the masters of the Real Fábrica de Cristales de La Granja and made exclusively for the Museo del Prado, is inspired by the trees carved in that delicate piece.
