A great hunting enthusiast, Goya painted dogs on several occasions, as in Boys with Mastiffs (1786), the tapestry cartoon he made to decorate some rooms in the Pardo Palace, which is reproduced in this original design object, part of a limited and numbered edition by TAKO for the Museo del Prado.
