"The Sense of Smell" tote bag
100% cotton. 28.5 x 36 cm.
This cheerful white tote bag reproduces a detail of The Sense of Smell (Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Brueghel the Elder, 1617-1618), which is presented restored in the exhibition The Essence of a Painting. Lilies, anemones, daffodils, marigolds, hyacinths… can be identified and evoke some of the eighty species of flowers and plants represented in the lush garden of the Infanta Clara Eugenia, imagined by Rubens and Brueghel in 17th century Brussels. The perfect spring accesory.
