Many aspects make the large canvas The Return of Fishing (1894), reproduced in this practical notebook with textured cover, one of Joaquín Sorolla's most internationally famous works. The powerful movement of the oxen is accompanied by the large unfurled sail that the east wind inflates and projects above the animals and the waves. This theme became the subject par excellence in Spanish painting of work at sea and marked the starting point of Sorolla's maturity as a painter.
