"Unloading Goods in the Port of Santander" notebook

9 x 14 cm (0.8 cm spine). 64 sheets (128 pages).

At the end of the 19th century, one of the most important centres of economic activity in Santander was the port, from which iron was exported from nearby areas. The iron ore was loaded onto the ships by means of complex railway constructions, but women also loaded and unloaded the ore by hand. The photograph Unloading goods in the port of Santander (1899-1902), by Francisco Hernández-Rubio, depicts this moment with great artistic flair. One detail is reproduced in this compact notebook, which is the perfect size to carry with you at all times so you can write down everything you need in your day-to-day life.
