"A lazaretto" tray
Melamine. 19,8 x 26,8 cm.
On the water, on the right, several fishing barges rest and are reflected on the surface with their sails folded. Used as hospitals and passenger destinations for the crews of those ships that arrived at infected Spanish ports, Carlos de Haes knows how to capture perfectly the atmosphere that pervades the place. A lazaretto (Mallorca) (circa 1877), is reproduced in this beautiful individual tray.
