"The Sense of Smell" porcelain box

This porcelain box handmade manufactured reproduces on its lid a detail of the flowers and plants from The Sense of Smell (1617-1618), resulting from the collaboration of Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens. Decorated with the foreground of the work where, with great mastery, different types of flowers and other symbolic elements such as perfumes, the artists give shape to a perfect allegory of the sense that gives its name to the canvas.
