Born into a traditional pottery-making family, Tito, founder of Alfarería Tito, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and is the winner of the 2013 National Crafts Prize. He has worked with creators from many fields: from film to literature, performance and music.

Piece made from low-temperature white clay, potter’s wheel, and fired according to traditional techniques at 980°, this plate with its Renaissance rim is decorated with cobalt oxide and a transparent vitreous covering. Inspired on the work Still Life with a Plate of Cherries, Plums, a Pitcher and Cheese (Luis Egidio Meléndez, 1760). Madrid, Museo Nacional del Prado.
