"Self-portrait" A5 notebook

On the occasion of the exhibition Reverses, held at the Museo Nacional del Prado from 7 November 2023 to 3 March 2024, the magnificent work reproduced on the cover of this booklet: Self-portrait [reverse] (1600-1610), by Orazio Borgianni, is presented to the public. In the context of this exhibition, this painting is exhibited with the reverse side visible, as it is possible to appreciate a very particular phenomenon: the infiltration of the oils on the back of the canvas allows a perfect view of the figure drawn on the pictorial layer.
