"The Sense of Smell" notebook

The cover of this useful notebook reproduces a detail of the work The Sense of Smell (1617-1618), the result of a collaboration between Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens. With its large format and white pages, the cover shows blue lilacs, hydrangeas, white lilies, peonies, wild daffodils, marigolds, hyacinths, lilies... species of flowers from the lush garden of the Infanta Clara Eugenia imagined by the artists in 17th-century Brussels.
