Ingres Yak Gloves
19th century wool gloves

19th century wool gloves

50% yak wool and 50% organic merino wool. One size. Unisex. Made in Spain by Teixidors.

The remodelling of the Museo del Prado's 19th-century art galleries gave pride of place to portraiture, the genre par excellence of Spanish painting. Room 62A was filled with effigies such as Joaquín Sorolla's portrait of his friend The Painter Aureliano de Beruete (1902), who wears elegant dark gloves, like these handmade by the prestigious Barcelona firm Teixidors.
